He did that on purpose, to fight alone with final boss, so that he could defeat him at the end. this is shown at the final boss battle when he separates himself from Rose when he do damage to the ground. of course resonance was important too, that was very clear after Rose join his party the higher the resonance his human partners have, the lower will be the side-effects and the burden for the shepards power and the shepard himself.Īfter that, all I could understand about the squire pact was that, when the pact is active and if his squire was close to him (shortly,if squire is inside shepards domain), he can't use purification and the shepard powers at its full strength. Well I think all the problems he had on the beginning was mainly because he wasn't strong enough to make full use of shepards power, and at that time, making a squire pact would just made him evolve slower than normal. I know too that lailah has here share of worries too about sorey and everyone else, but the squire pact was never mentioned in a doubting way after getting to rolance. Somehow i get the feeling that more was intended early in development. However in point of Marlinds Lord he doesnt know she is the princess if i remember correctly (could be worng here), but even if he'd know this mumbling doesnt really add up to my hypothesis imo. However my second thought was something along the lines that its not "good" to have alisha around since he gets easily influenced by political scandals and gets rather biased possibly fighting rolance even more and get tainted by malevolence. Yet after these 3 things they never bothered to mentioned it again.Īt some point i thought the squire will die rather early or something like that but it showed that this was false.
